Sunday, 13 October 2024 11:51 pm i've been trying to knit and i think i'm getting the hang of it finally, i just need some thicker yarn for it, knitting with thin yarn is so unrewarding to me rn.
also ordered a magazine and after i retrieved it i tripped and landed right on my knee and then i still decided to walk but my knee and back started to hurt soo much later that i struggled to get home... but i did thrift a 100 percent wool uniqlo cardigan:) it had small holes in it which i mended immediately and bc it's straight size it's quite tight on me but i just couldn't pass it up, whatever, indie sleaze
reading this magazine is sm fun and it made me miss when i would read so many of them in the 00s... man im sooo tired of what our world is like rn. yeah gadgets are convenient but physical media is so grounding and it keeps u intentional. and it's a much better way to support artists/writers etc. so often creators ask to be supported via clicking/liking/streaming/sharing etc and it's like i don't wanna do it. and i don't want artists to need to do it to get enough profit. i don't want to support via donating my time and mental energy by doing computer work (all the clicking and liking and commenting)\ I just want to get a physical product of ur work and know that this is supporting u and it's also giving me something to consume and enjoy and it's forever mine. these times are so depressing. i want physical media back BIG time.
i also wish social media never existed. it's really changed how we socialize i just can't stand it. u need to have a Page or else new ppl find u weird and suspicious and old friends don't bother to update you since it's all on their Page. and i hate when ppl r like well there's no alternative. It is crystal clear to me that internet forums is where it's at. U can still chat, organize, meme, meet ppl online. connect with ppl all across the world and with ppl from ur class or ur city if needed. post abt news and events and discuss them!! But u aren't yourself a Creator with your own Page. no likes, and no algorithms
